As pet owners we knew that the biologically-appropriate raw food diet (BARF) was the best way to keep our dogs healthy and happy. But we were shocked to discover that other brands on the market made it incredibly expensive for owners to feed their dogs this nutrient-dense diet! How much raw food does my dog need?
Generally speaking, your dog needs 2%-3% of his body weight in raw food per day depending on activity level and metabolism.
Choose 2% if your dog is moderately active.
Choose 3% if your dog is very active.
** Puppies need between 4-5% of their body weight in raw food per day up to 12 months of age.
